Education and Training

RBS has one of the most extensive training, education and development programs for associates in the business. We have utilized a wide variety of resources to create our training program, including information from chemical and equipment suppliers, research performed by our own staff, BSCAI, government agencies and professional educators. Most importantly, we have become good at “mining” the years of experience represented by our experienced staff.

Training and Certification Program

First developed in June 1996, we are very proud of our training program and consider it one of the best in the industry. The heart of our education and training program consists of separate certification programs, divided into modules. Some of our certification programs are Janitorial, Specialist Programs (Hard Floor Care Specialist, Carpet Care Specialist, Window Washing Specialist, etc.), Supervisory, Management and Executive programs. It is mandatory that associates placed in any operational or management position in the company successfully complete the training within the proscribed period of time. Associates seeking advancement may also become certified in additional fields on a volunteer basis.

Other Training and Education

In-service workshops on various cleaning techniques (restroom cleaning, proper maintenance of equipment, lifting, ladder use, etc.). A company library is available for all associates. This library includes written, audio, video materials on technical issues and supervision. Building Services Contractors Association International (BSCAI) - supervisory and technical training is available through seminars.
